Brien's Story

1934 -

At Mexico City 1968, Brien Cobcroft, in finishing thirteenth, was the second-ranked Australian, behind Wayne Roycroft in the individual 3-day contest. He joined with Wayne and Bill Roycroft to finish third, behind Great Britain and the United States in the team event. James Scanlon was a fourth Australian competitor whose score did not contribute to the team total. Four years earlier at Tokyo 1964, Cobcroft had finished thirteenth in the individual event and joined with Bill Roycroft and John Kelly to finish seventh in the teams.
