Andrew's Story

Snowboard halfpipe rider Andrew Burton made his international debut at the 2003 World Championships in Kreischberg, placing 33rd in the halfpipe. He ended his debut World Cup season of 2003/04 ranked 42nd after contesting five of the eight events, then moved up to ten in the world at the end of the 2004/05 season.

Burton was part of the Australian Team for the Torino 2006 Olympic Winter Games, contesting the halfpipe where he finished 32nd. He retired from international competition in March 2007 with a host of top ten World Cup finishes including one bronze at the 2007 World Cup in Sungwoo, Korea.
