Alison's Story
1971 –
Alison Inverarity followed Christine Stanton as Australia’s premier female high jumper. Like Stanton, she came from Western Australia and attended three Olympic Games, with hers being Barcelona 1992, Atlanta 1996 and Sydney 2000. Her best performance was eighth at Barcelona.
She attended two Commonwealth Games and two World Championships, with a best result of winning a gold medal at the 1994 Commonwealth Games at Victoria, Canada. During her career, Alison Inverarity won eight senior Australian high jump titles.
