Lise's Story
1975 -
Dual Olympian Lise Mackie won a bronze medal as a member of the women’s 4x200m freestyle relay team in Atlanta. Mackie swam in two relays for Australia in 1996, with the team reaching the final in both events. As well as the bronze medal performance in the 4x200m freestyle, Mackie’s other relay team, the 4x100m freestyle, placed sixth. Mackie, a freestyle specialist, had made her Olympic debut four years earlier in Barcelona as a member of the 4x100m freestyle team. The other members of the medal-winning relay team were Julia Greville, Emma Johnson, Susie O’Neill and Nicole Livingstone.
